Benguerra Lodge is situated on the west coast of Mozambique about a
kilometre down the beach from Azura Lodge. It has a North African style
encapsulating a beautiful sunset with gold, red, ochre and orange
schemes.
Accommodation options are Casitas (open-plan chalets overlooking the beach), Cabanas (similar, but smaller than Casitas) and a Villa that sleeps 4 people. There are bungalows set back from the beach and these are available for children only. These bungalows are situated behind each Casitas, are built slightly off the ground with indoor showers, toilets and are open-fronted facing the Casitas. This area has the best beach-views on Benguerra and to top it off each Casita has its own personal butler so that you can enjoy a pampered holiday feeling like royalty!
Rooms are private and have big bath-tubs and outside showers.
The main area of Benguerra Lodge is set up for comfort and visitors can relax in the bar area or ease into the comfortable lounge area to browse through books, play chess or enjoy a cocktail. If you tire of your personal plunge pool you can visit the pool near the main lodge and enjoy a local beer at the beach bar fashioned from an old dhow boat. Activities include sunset dhow cruises and trips to deserted beaches.

Breakfast consists of pastries, muffins, breads and cereals served with fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, tea and coffee. Alternatively you can choose a full cooked option. Lunch is a selection of fish and shell-fish and a meat dish and is accompanied by a variety of salads. Main courses give a range of options followed by dessert. Meals are normally fresh catch of the day and meat eaters are advised to specify if they prefer other meat or vegetables.

A 2 hour flight with Pelican Air from Johannesburg where a smaller plane then takes around 15 minutes to take you to the Benguerra airstrip. The lodge 4x4 vehicle will then pick you up and take you to the lodge.

- Children aged 8 years and over are welcome at Benguerra
- children under the age of 12 must vacate the lounge and bar area by 7pm
- Child-minders are available at a nominal fee
- Special kids meals can be prepared on request
- A third bed can be put into the Casitas at Benguerra if parents are travelling with one child
