At Bela Vista Lodge, we aim to provide our guests not only with luxury, style and comfort, but also a complete feeling of home from home. When you walk into one of our spacious, open plan, exclusively designed houses, you'll feel like you never want to leave... Located on the sand dunes overlooking beautiful Barra beach and lagoon in Inhambane Province, Mozambique, Bela Vista Lodge offers high quality accommodation, exquisite views and first class service in a beautiful setting.
Barra is a stretch of wide, white sandy beach, fringed with coconut palms and rolling surf and is the ideal base from which to enjoy the many activities on offer such as world class scuba diving and surfing, horse riding through the countryside, bird watching in the mangroves and lagoon or just lazing on the beach, sipping a cocktail or cold beer and enjoying the world renowned seafood on offer. The accommodation at Bela Vista Lodge currently consists of four luxury houses, each with 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The houses are open-plan, spacious and airy and have been designed with the surrounding environment in mind.
The split level decks and lounges provide various comfortable outside areas to relax, with hammocks and cushions everywhere. There is a spacious braai deck with plenty of room for friends and family, plus a fully equipped kitchen.

| If you wish to drive to Bela Vista Lodge, take the EN1 (the main road
through Mozambique) and follow it until you get to the junction just
south of Maxixe at Lindela. The road is mostly good condition tarmac
although some areas are affected by potholes and in need of some
maintenance. Once at the junction, follow the road all the way to
Inhambane City. Once through Inhambane, another tarmac road (the EN259)
follows the coast until you reach the junction for Barra Beach at Bar
Babalaza. When you reach Bar Babalaza, keep going straight, following
the red dirt road. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is not necessary. Bela
Vista Lodge is located just past the turn-off for the lighthouse and
easy to find. |
