Palm Grove Lodge is situated on a pristine beach with the crystal clear waters of the Indian ocean. It is 485kms north of Maputo, access is on tarred roads until the last 7kms leading to the lodge which are gravel. Palm Grove is a secluded un-spoilt beach bordered by the Inhambane estuary on one side and the sea on the other.
The warm waters offer safe bathing and smooth and easy boat launching. Fishing grounds and diving reefs are nearby and the largely unexplored reefs offer endless pleasures for skin divers and snorkler's.
The lodge is nestled amongst the coconut groves and has a wonderful beach.
Accommodation consists of Casas and Casita's, traditional Mozambican reed houses built with the hot weather in mind.
Each cottage has its own open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room, and a patio with a braai. All the basic amenities are supplied including a fridge, Gas stove with an oven, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, utensils, linen and mosquito netting. All the living areas are equiped with Ceiling Fans.

From Maputo (Outskirts), follow the sign to Xai Xai (EN1). Best to fill up your vehicle at Xai Xai (The engen garage is recommended) and continue North to Inhambane. Drive through the city of Inhambane and follow signboard to Tofo, Barra and the airport. Continue with this road for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the Barra/Tofo crossroads. With bar Babalaza on your right hand side, continue straight on the dirt road for approximately 7 Kms, following the signboards to Barra lodge. When the road forks, take the left hand fork. Palm Grove Lodge is situated approx 500m along this road on the right hand side.
