Situated in a perfect spot on the popular Barra Beach is Barra Cuda Lodge. It accommodates eighty two guests altogether and offers a selection of individually owned chalets to suit a range of requirements.
The accommodation at the lodge ranges from four sleeper self-catering chalets to bigger twelve sleeper self-catering chalets. They are constructed out of traditional Mozambique materials, grass walls, wooden floors and thatched roofs.
Each chalet is fully equipped for self-catering purposes and all (with the exception of Casa Filha) offer splendid views of the ocean which is a few leisurely steps away. The atmosphere at Barra Cuda Lodge is relaxed and easy to match its natural rustic appeal and guests are accommodated in comfortable, homely chalets with all the modern conveniences. Being right in the middle of this extremely popular section of coastline, there are many restaurants and bars within close proximity as well as a large menu of diverse activities available from the numerous operators in the area.

From Maputo, take the EN1 North to Xai Xai. The road from Xai Xai to Inhambane is very badly potholed so please take care not to drive this section at night. Approximately 50km after Inharrime, there is a signboard on your left 'Lindela'.
Take the right fork at this point to Inhambane. In Inhambane, turn right when you reach the harbour pier on your left. Travel through the town until you reach the stop sign. Continue to your right around the circle and follow signs to Tofo and Airport. At the Tofo/Barra crossroads, with Bar Babalaza on your right hand side, continue straight on a dirt road for approximately 8kms.
The road will veer sharply left and right. Take the road to the right (past Anda Ca Lodge). Keep to the left hand side and turn right at Visto Do Mar (don't drive onto the beach). Drive behind Vista do Mar to Barracuda Lodge next door (green shade cloth on chalets). Please visit reception to check-in.
