Inhambane was established in 1560 by the Portuguese and is one of the oldest settlements in Mozambique. It is 470 km from Maputo and is located in southern Mozambique where it lies on the Inhambane Bay. Sites worth a visit include Praia dos Cocos, Tofo, Guinjata Bay and Barra.
