Machampane Tented Camp lies adjacent to South Africa's Kruger National
Park and in the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. Accommodation at Machampane Camp and Wilderness consists of a luxury tented camp. These 5 tents are semi-permanent structures built on stilts and each tent has an en-suite bathroom and private verandah overlooking the Machampage River.
Animals walk freely among these tents and elephants are known to visit during nighttime.
Visitors normally wake up early for a guided safari walks and could also go for a late afternoon walk to waterholes along the river. These walks are covered at a leisurely pace and more of an environmental awareness experience and not a ‘route march’. Lunches are served on wilderness walks outside in the bush. Evenings are spent in a communal boma where dinner is served and a fire is lit. Here visitors listen to the sounds of the bush nightlife waking up under star-studded skies.
While enjoying your stay in the camp we suggest doing the Rio Elefantes Canoeing Trail where visitors spend 3 days on the river fishing and bird spotting.
