Nahyeeni is stunning exclusive private lodge situated on the beautiful island of Inhaca. It consists of a double storey main house as well as 2 thatched cottages in the surrounding area.
Together these 3 thatched lodges can comfortably accommodate 10 adults and 4 children. A stunning open plan fully modern kitchen/lounge/dining room is complemented with truly outstanding panoramic views overlooking the Bay of Maputo on the western side of Inhaca Island – Maputo City can be viewed twinkling in the distance some 40kms away!
The entertainment area consists of a very large fresh water swimming pool with bar, braai, serving and open fire facilities, with a cozy thatched dining area located alongside, all conveniently overlooking the magnificent Indian Ocean. Charcoal and firewood / logs are complimentary.
A wooden deck stretches out over the edge of the hill and splits into 2 areas, one has a private hammock for your relaxation, whilst the other affords incredible panoramic views and sunsets that will remain imbedded on the memory for years to come

While the lodge is self catering, there is a semi self catering option available. As Nahyeeni Lodge is located on an Island which has very limited access to suitable shopping facilities - you can now place your order for supplies and when you arrive you will find ypur fridge and cupboards fully stocked. Please ensure that the correct quantities and sizes are ordered depending on the total number of guests in your party.

As with the dining option, clients who don't wish to travel with their beverages can no place orders to have your fridge and bar fully stocked for your arrival.

Although a self catering Lodge, Nahyeeni employs 2 permanent maids and a gardener/maintenance man available on duty every day for your convenience, whilst 2 guards oversee the property during the night hours. A laundry service is also available on request.

Nahyeeni Lodge offers client transfers from Maputo Marina in Maputo City to Inhaca Island with a maximum of 9 people per trip (weather dependent). On arrival at the Island the staff will take care of logistics with regards to the delivery of your baggage whilst you enjoy the leisurely stroll up the hill. The crossing to Inhaca takes approximately one hour – please contact us for rates and further information.
Alternatively you may catch the Government run ferry (Nyaleti) which runs on the weekends and on alternate days (Tuesday and Thursday) during the week or the privately run Vodacom ferry which is quicker and more secure than the ‘Nyaleti’ but only offers crossings on Saturday and Sunday. Both ferry boats leave from Porto de Pesca (Maputo small fishing harbor) from approximately 7.30am (crossing times – Nyaleti 2.5 hours / Vodacom 2 hours). Kindly note that due to both Ferry boats having to anchor closer to the main Inhaca port area, a further cost of transport from the beach to the Lodge would be applicable.
Flights in smaller fixed wing airplanes are also available from the Maputo International Airport with a regular service running most afternoons (flights take approximately 10 to 15 minutes) – a transport fee would also be charged to collect and deliver clients from the airport.
Should you be arriving at the Maputo International Airport, please make arrangements beforehand so we may organize to collect you from the airport should this be so required.

A 50% deposit is required on confirmation of booking, payable by credit card or bank transfer
- The remaining 50% payment to be made 15 days prior to departure
- All Cancellations are subject to a 25% surcharge on the total price payable
- All Excursions/boat charter accounts to be settled on day of departure from Inhaca
- Nahyeeni Lodge will not be held responsible for any injuries, accidents, and/or otherwise which may occur from the usage, or otherwise, of the swimming pool and/or any of the other facilities located at the Lodge
- Damage caused to property and/or goods may be liable to full payment
- Loss of any item belonging to the Lodge and used during excursions would be charged accordingly
- Boat charters and/or excursions are limited to a maximum of 9 people plus the skipper in good weather and 6 people plus skipper in bad weather (the skipper will determine the state of the weather at the time)
- Nahyeeni Lodge will not be held responsible for any accident and/or injury occurring during any excursion/charter/transfer on the vessel DUX which is not the direct result of a mechanical breakdown and/or conclusively proven indiscretion from the skipper
- Nahyeeni Lodge will not be held responsible for any accident and/or injury occurring during any excursion/charter/transfer completed by vehicle on Inhaca Island. All vehicle trips undertaken by the client on Inhaca Island are at their own risk.
- Nahyeeni Lodge will not be responsible for the loss and/or theft of any property and/or otherwise for the duration of the stay at the Lodge
- Nahyeeni Lodge is not responsible for any fees and/or taxes resulting from entering/leaving Maputo Marina including the parking of vehicles
- Nahyeeni Lodge will pay Inhaca Nature Reserve Taxes on behalf of the client for the duration of the stay – please make sure you keep these receipts with you on all excursions
- Nahyeeni Lodge is not responsible for any fees and/or taxes levied by the Parks Board for snorkeling and/or scuba diving undertaken at Ponta Torres (Santa Maria) or any other deemed Reserve Area
- In the event of any premature departure, it is our policy to charge the full extent of the stay, which has been booked and confirmed
