The Southern Sun Maputo is situated 7km from Maputo International Airport. It was built on the beachfront of the Avenida da Marginal where it overlooks the ocean.
The Southern Sun Maputo is an ideal hub to explore Maputo from. Be sure to visit the Central Railway Station, designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1910. Also go to the Museum of the Revolution where you can learn more about Mozambique, its rich history and most recent civil war.
The Central Market close by is a hub of activity where you will find from freshly baked breads to curios and handicrafts.
