Nuarro Lodge have 12 dune chalets each sleeping 2-3 people. These chalets were constructed using only natural material from the surrounding areas. These chalets have uninterrupted views from almost everywhere, but is most enjoyed from your private porch while relaxing in a hammock or comfy chair.
Each chalet has an indoor and outdoor shower area, a lounge and sun deck. The lodge works on a fair trade tourism system where local materials are used by local people to build and maintain the lodge. The roof tiles are made from palm leaves, ‘makuti’ and the walls are made of rocks which are then coated with the colourfully red mud ‘matopi’.
Guests find solitude on the stretching beaches of the Baixo do Pinda Peninsula.
Freshly baked cakes are served every afternoon with coffee and tea. You might just see a whale while enjoying snacks, as these beautiful mammals frequent Memba Bay. A walkway connects the lodge to "Nanatha Island Rock", another strategic view point for the whale watching season.
