The lodge was built in the Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary where marine and terrestrial wildlife are found in abundance. This makes the area the first eco-tourism destination of Mozambique and ensures that the area stays as pristine as can be.
The Lodge is positioned on top of high sand dunes ensuring awesome views of the beach, sea and lagoon. The Lodge and accommodation underwent a complete renovation in 2008 and was established as a four star resort. Rooms and buildings are locally made with bamboo, hardwood, reed and straw. There is a choice between 5 Lagoon Chalets and 3 Executive Villas. All the living quarters are connected to the main lodge with wooden walkways. The rooms are beautiful and each room has an outside area overlooking the sea. From here it seems as though you have your own private beach in front of your room!
There is a whole Water Sports Centre where guests are visitors can borrow surf boards, canoes, fishing rods, snorkels and Hobie Cats. This is definitely a dream holiday!

Please note that foreign visitors to Mozambique must pay 50 USD per person upon arrival at the Vilankulo Airport in order to obtain the required tourist visa. Visitors are also required to pay an airport tax of 10 USD per person. The airport officials do not accept credit cards, so please bring cash for this payment.
