Located a mere 270km north of Maputo, Nascer Do Sol has become a very popular destination for long weekends as well as all major school holidays in South Africa and offers both self-catering chalet accommodation as well as a campsite with 10 thatched baraccas. This small resort has been designed and built to blend in with the environment and changes to it have been minimal.
The lodgings at Nascer Do Sol are absolutely stunning! Beautifully set out wooden and thatched chalets and gorgeous sea views will have you never wanting to leave! And why would you need to? Everything you need is right onsite. Even though the chalets are self-catering, Nascer Do Sol is home to a shop as well as a restaurant that promises to give you a taste experience you will not easily forget, so if cooking is not your thing there’s no need to! All of the chalets are designed so that every bedroom has a sea view. The chalets are fully equipped, including fridges/freezers and have warm water and electricity. All chalets have their own barbecue/braai facilities and families can enjoy a wonderful time together overlooking the sea. The campsite has thatched barracas which are equipped with beds and mattresses only. The campsite has its own ablution facilities which includes hot water, its own lapa and kitchen area where people as well as groups can enjoy a relaxing time together.
On lazy days time can be spent lounging in the chalet or bracca but for those with more energy there are various activities to be explored; there is swimming, whale watching, sea-turtles, bird watching fishing, fly fishing, snorkelling, scuba and fishing charters to be taken pleasure in.

Nascer Do Sol is located approximately 40km past Xai-Xai on the main route to the North. Passing through Xai-Xai, you'll next go through three smaller towns, Chongoene, Nhamavila and Chizavane. Our turn-off is +/- 1km past Chizavane and is clearly marked with a sign board on the left. Turn right and follow the main sand road for 10km to this hidden gem.
