“An escape to serenity” - this is the phrase that aptly describes time spent at Bela Vida. The lodge is situated in Dengoune, Chidenguele, District of Manjacaze which is +- 70km’s form Xai Xai Mozambique. It is an absolutely stunning house (the first of nine more to come) and is completely isolated from the main road. It therefore promises ultimate relaxation and allows guests comfort to be on their own time and do as they feel.
There are various activities to take part in during your stay. After waking up with the sunrise as it forms over the warm Indian Ocean, why not enjoy a walk on the unspoilt coastline or explore the underwater world by snorkelling at Kingspool; a popular destination formed by natural rock and provides a safe place for even the kids to swim. Be adventurous and try kayaking, wind sailing or quad biking! Deep Sea fishing will also be an option soon.
The accommodation at Bela Vida is perfect for up to eight people. It consists of three bedrooms – two with double beds, mosquito nets and cupboards and one with two bunk beds which is ideal for the kids! There are also two bathrooms in the house which include showers and linen cupboards. There is an open plan kitchen and dining area and the house is fully equipped as well as serviced every morning. The water at the lodge is also safe to drink as it is sourced from the onsite boreholes.

Follow the N12 through Witbank, Middelburg and Nelspruit to Komatiepoort Border. Fill up before border, +- 4 ½ hrs from JHB. The road from the Border to Maputo is excellent. There is a tollgate a little way from the border. SA Rand, US Dollars or Meticas are accepted. Carry straight on until the outskirts of Maputo. Turn left at N4 Maputo sign. (Uni Lever and Bell Equipment on left hand side). There is another tollgate. Turn left at exit 81 to Xai-Xai. From here there is only one road which heads north. It’s a good idea to fill up at Xai-Xai (the 2nd BP Service Station is good. It also has a snack shop), +- 4 hrs. Follow the N101 to Inhambane. Follow the road for +-70 km to a small town called Madender. Turn right at the following GPS Coordinates :

Follow the main road. Do not turn at any other small exit road until you reach the small town of Dengione at GPS Coordinates.

Follow the road till you reach Bela Vida.
