A Botswana Safari and Mozambique Island Journey

This 12-night international journey begins with three nights at Wilderness Savuti in Botswana’s Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, continues with three nights at Wilderness Qorokwe in the Okavango Delta, and finishes with five nights at Azura Marlin on Benguerra Island.

Savuti introduces woodland, channels, elephants and predator viewing. Qorokwe adds floodplains, islands and seasonal water experiences. The Mozambique finale then replaces game drives and light aircraft with warm Indian Ocean water, beach time and a more unstructured island rhythm.

Two Botswana Safari Regions, One Island Finale

Savuti and Qorokwe provide different Botswana landscapes and activity possibilities, creating a more complete safari than staying in one camp. Azura Marlin then balances the cost of a premium two-region Botswana safari with a boutique Benguerra Island stay that retains full-board dining, personal hosting and direct beach access without charging for a private pool in every villa.

Remote Safari Camps and a Sea-Facing Beach Villa

Wilderness Savuti overlooks the Savuti Channel in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, while Wilderness Qorokwe is set within a private Okavango Delta concession. At Azura Marlin, the standard Beach Villa is sea-facing and close to the sand, with a shaded private deck and indoor and outdoor showers. It does not have a private pool; a Beach Villa Grande upgrade can be quoted.

Land, Water and Island Experiences

Savuti and Qorokwe include scheduled safari activities, with game drives forming the foundation of both stays. Qorokwe boating and mokoro excursions depend on water levels and operating conditions. At Azura Marlin, selected island experiences may include a sunset dhow cruise, island drive, kayaking and paddleboarding. Diving, fishing, spa treatments and private marine excursions can be added.

A Realistic Botswana-to-Mozambique Connection

After Qorokwe, a light aircraft returns guests to Maun for the onward flight to Johannesburg. One night at the InterContinental Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport protects the following day’s connection to Vilanculos and the Benguerra Island helicopter. This sequence avoids relying on an unsafe same-day connection between remote Botswana aviation and the Mozambique island transfer.
