Game drives explore the park’s floodplains, woodland and wildlife areas. Guided walks focus on tracks, plants, birds and the smaller details easily missed from a vehicle. Seasonal boating may also be offered when water levels permit.

There is time between activities to relax at camp and watch the changing wildlife and birdlife around Chicari Pan. Privately guided activities, Mount Gorongosa and other specialist excursions are not included unless confirmed in writing.

Why Five-Night Departures Must Follow the Flight Schedule

The journey begins with an Airlink flight from Johannesburg to Beira, followed by a scheduled light-aircraft transfer to Gorongosa National Park. Return transfers between Beira and Gorongosa currently operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

For a clean five-night stay using scheduled light-aircraft transfers in both directions, departures are structured from Wednesday to Monday or Friday to Wednesday. A Monday arrival would require a charter, an overland transfer or a longer stay.
