Three Complimentary Nights Across One Journey

This itinerary combines two valuable 2026 offers.

Gorongosa’s Stay 7 Pay 5 provides one complimentary night at Muzimu and another at Chicari when the seven-night safari is divided between the camps. The accommodation saving is US$1,800 per person sharing. 

The dedicated Gorongosa–Azura combination then prices five nights at Azura Marlin at US$3,100 pps instead of US$3,875, providing another US$775 saving. Together with the US$100 transport saving documented in the official combination, the complete itinerary saves US$2,675 per person sharing against its rack components. 

Two Safari Camps and a Benguerra Island Retreat

Muzimu begins the journey with just six luxury tented suites and a maximum of 12 guests. Chicari provides a contrasting safari setting with ten canvas tents positioned around its natural pan. Both operate during Gorongosa’s April-to-November safari season. 

The final five nights are spent at Azura Marlin Beach on Benguerra Island. The retreat has ten contemporary villas along approximately one kilometre of beach, combining ocean views with relaxed indoor-outdoor island living.

Seven safari nights create time for shared daily activities across Gorongosa instead of compressing the park into a short extension. Connect Gorongosa Directly With the Coast

This package is specifically structured to connect Gorongosa with Vilanculos rather than requiring travelers to return through Johannesburg between safari and beach.

The official 2026 combination prices the Gorongosa transport component at US$1,230 per person and the Azura helicopter component at US$560 per person. 

After reaching Vilanculos, guests continue by scenic helicopter to Benguerra Island. Mozambique Travel will align the complete journey with the operating days of the Gorongosa–Vilanculos connection before final flights are issued.

Spend the first week following wildlife through one of Africa’s great conservation landscapes. Move between riverine Muzimu and the natural pan at Chicari, allowing Gorongosa’s changing habitats and wildlife to shape each safari day.

Then leave the bush behind.

A flight carries you toward the coast before a helicopter crosses the water to Benguerra Island. For the next five nights, safari vehicles give way to dhow sails, warm Indian Ocean water and long stretches of sand.

The official supplier combination breaks that price into US$6,520 for the seven-night Gorongosa component and US$3,660 for five nights at Azura Marlin. 

The Gorongosa total comprises US$4,450 discounted accommodation, US$840 park and sustainability charges, and US$1,230 in scheduled transport. Azura contributes US$3,100 in discounted accommodation plus US$560 for its helicopter component.
