Two Complimentary Safari Nights

Gorongosa's Stay 7 Pay 5 offer provides two complimentary accommodation nights during a seven-night stay at Muzimu. The official 2026 special runs from 1 April to 30 November and specifically allows guests to spend the full seven nights at one camp.

Gorongosa's Intimate Luxury Safari Lodge

Muzimu Lodge accommodates a maximum of 12 guests in six East African-style luxury tented suites raised within the riverine landscape. Each suite provides a spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom, ceiling fan and private timber deck.

The main lodge offers shaded dining and lounge areas alongside a swimming pool and outdoor spaces for fireside evenings. Its small scale makes Muzimu particularly appealing to couples and travelers who value privacy, personal service and a refined safari atmosphere.

Seven Days to Explore Further

Scheduled activities generally include morning and afternoon game drives, guided walking safaris and opportunities to explore different parts of Gorongosa National Park.

A longer stay creates additional flexibility for birding, longer explorer drives and selected conservation or biodiversity experiences. Guests staying five nights or longer can also access Gorongosa's Pangolin Project foraging experience at no additional cost, although participation remains controlled by conservation and animal-welfare requirements and cannot be guaranteed. 

Fly Directly Into the Safari

Scheduled light-air transfers connect Beira with Gorongosa National Park on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The primary 2026 seat-in service currently costs US$320 per person each way and takes approximately 35 minutes. 

Return Beira–Gorongosa flights are included in this package. Flights to and from Beira remain separate, allowing Mozambique Travel to connect the safari with Johannesburg, Vilanculos or a wider Southern African itinerary.

Go Deeper Instead of Moving On

Seven nights change the rhythm of a safari. Rather than trying to fit Gorongosa into two or three full days, you have time to follow wildlife movements, explore different habitats and adapt the program to conditions in the park.

Some mornings can begin on game drives across floodplains and woodland, while other days may introduce walking, birding or longer exploratory routes. Schedule-dependent conservation and biodiversity experiences can be considered without sacrificing the core safari program.

There is also room to do less. Spend an afternoon beside Muzimu's pool, enjoy the quiet of your private deck or simply watch the surrounding bush between activities.

Rates start from approximately US$6,085 per person sharing for this seven-night Muzimu Lodge safari on qualifying 2026 travel dates.

The package uses Gorongosa's Stay 7 Pay 5 special, allowing guests to stay seven nights while paying the accommodation charge for five. The current published 2026 Muzimu rack rate is US$950 per person sharing per night, while the primary scheduled Beira–Gorongosa seat-in flight currently costs US$320 per person each way.

The advertised package price includes the applicable safari accommodation, meals, selected drinks, shared activities, park and conservation fees and scheduled return Beira–Gorongosa light-air transfers. Final pricing remains subject to travel dates, lodge availability, applicable offer conditions and flight costs at confirmation.
