Exclusive Use From US$600 Per Night

Shakati's current official dry-lodge pricing starts at US$600 per night for two people using one room, while retaining exclusive use of the lodge's communal areas.

The rate scales according to the number of rooms and guests rather than charging every traveler the same flat rate. Current dry-lodge pricing ranges from US$600 per night for two guests to US$2,250 per night for 12 guests occupying all six rooms. 

Six Suites for Families and Friends

Shakati comprises six en-suite bedroom suites close to the Indian Ocean. The lodge accommodates up to 12 guests in its standard configuration, with space for two additional children sharing.

Private bedrooms are complemented by spacious communal areas where everyone can gather, including indoor and outdoor lounges, dining spaces, decks and an outdoor firepit.

Two swimming pools provide additional space for relaxed days at the lodge. Families should note that the pools are not enclosed by safety fencing, making responsible adult supervision essential for younger children.

Beach and Bush in One Private Stay

Shakati's location inside The Sanctuary combines an Indian Ocean beach holiday with access to a protected terrestrial and marine environment.

Depending on the package selected, the group can arrange snorkeling, island excursions, fishing, kayaking and other boating experiences alongside guided wildlife drives through the reserve.

The Sanctuary supports species including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, sable, kudu, nyala and other antelope. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, and Shakati should be positioned as a private nature experience rather than a traditional Big Five safari. 

Private Access From Vilanculos

Guests normally fly into Vilanculos before continuing to Shakati using coordinated transfers. Current official all-inclusive terms include a return vehicle transfer between Vilanculos Airport and the harbor, while the final lodge access and precise transfer arrangement must be confirmed according to the package booked. 

Flights to Vilanculos are excluded. Mozambique Travel will coordinate arrival times with the lodge transfer arrangements before travelers issue separate regional connections.

A six-night Shakati holiday starts from US$3,600 for two guests on the current dry-lodge basis. This is calculated directly from Shakati's July 2026 published rate of US$600 per night for two people using one room. 

For comparison, six nights on the current dry-lodge rate would cost approximately US$6,000 for four guests, US$8,400 for six, US$10,500 for eight, US$12,000 for ten or US$13,500 for 12 guests.

All-inclusive pricing is higher and depends on occupancy. Mozambique Travel will calculate the correct total after confirming travel dates, adult and child numbers, required suites, meal plan, transfers and activities.
